    Jason Bay?

Jason Bay was released by the Mets today. Worth it to give him a one year incentive based deal and plug him in left field? He cant be worse than Blanco and has no history of disruptive behavior in Pitt, SD, NYM, or BOS

You're telling me if signed to the same contract you'd rather have blanco?

Blanco is much more useful than Bay. He can pinch run, plays great defense, and can play all 3 OF positions.

Yes, at least Blanco can play amazing defense. Hell Blanco's hitting about the same if not better then Bay.

I'd rather have Blanco even if Blanco was twice as expensive.

    This right here.

Bay has sucked the past three years while declining. Like others have said, I'd rather have Blanco.

I agree. He made some key defensive plays that were crucial to get us out of the inn. Also, he made the catch that helped Cain get the perfect game. I highly doubt Bay would be able to make that same play given the same situation.

Yes, I'd rather have Blanco start. Bay could be a good RH bench option, but I think he'll sign somewhere he could start.
