In theary that sounds great, but trades like that are tough to pull off. What team out there has a good CB that is expendable, and alos have the nees for as RB? And if they do, is it an even trade?

honestly, id only pull the trigger if it were Mike Jenkins ... but id hate the fact that the team i hate the most would receive LGB in return haha

^^^ not dissing LGB one bit but its pretty clear this new coaching staff is moving in a different direction unless they finally start feeding the beast more often and i dont see that happening unfortunately.

Do you actually read posts before re-posting? Nobody is dissin Blount. He holds value, but he is expendable if the right deal comes along. He is capable of being a #1 back, but we already have a #1 back, and DJ Ware is capable of being a back-up if we could get value in return for Blount. Not to mention that trading Blount would get M. Smith on the active roster, and god knows we need him returning kicks.

Can our pass d really get any worse? We play Carson Palmer next which will be no issue. A young guy will step up and we will have aqib back for rivers. I think we should trade lgb (as much as I hate to say it) for a decent CB

Eric Wright does not have any Bonus money just the first two years of his deal are guaranteed I believe. We will draft 2-3 players for the secondary anyways. It will give those players a year to be groomed and maybe offer Talib a one year decent deal. He is actually trying to turn himself around everyone. People don't change overnight.

I'm not argueing against that. Let me ask this, is anybody other than myself, a Biggers fan? Because I believe that this E. Wright signing is really going to cause us a problem in the future! let me explain my view-

Current situation- Because of Wrights contract, we will not be able to cut or trade him. He is an average #2 corner. After this season, we are almost forced to keep Talib unless we want our secondary to get even worse. I don't think there are any free agents CB's that are upgrades to Talib, and it is difficult to draft a guy in the first round and expect him to come in and be an immediate upgrade at the #1 spot over Talib. Even if we drafted a guy in the first round to play #2 behined Talib, can we really afford to pay Wright this knid of money to play #3?

What we should have done- Skipped the signing of E. Wright. Biggers was cappable of playing #2 this year, and next year we could have drafted our new #2 corner, with the intention of him eveneually playing #1. We could have saved the E. Wright money, and added it to the cap for next year. We may have to spend a decent amount of money re-signing Miller, Freeman, and Bennett this offseason, and I'm not sure what kinda money that will leave us to be active in free agancy in 2013. Do you guys agree, or see it differently?

trading him for a picks or some random player would be a bad idea, and jeopardize our rb core in my opinion. The only way I see it making sense is they trade him for a back they like more(i.e. steven jackson) and/or they have no intention of keeping him after this year and think what they can get for him is worth more than his value in the next 9 games or more

The way cornerback contracts continue to rise. I don't see his contact as a big hindrance.
