Well the 2 - 5 deal is the one I meant to post, so go with that.

I'd like to see some ideas from you and others in the same format.

Hopefully it gets the ball rolling toward names/fits we arent even considering.

Would you pull the trigger on this trade?
I do this trade, if only the Wilpons are willing to spend for this year and on or they have already locked up Wright, unfortunately that's not the case so no.

Interesting proposal. I think we can get it done without even including Mazzoni.

Brewers need a young Firstbaseman and we need catching.

    This could work.

I always love some of the troll trades from other team's fans in this forum.

How about Anthony Gose, D'Arnaud, and Justin Nicolino for Harvey?

I would trade Harvey for Gose and D'Arnaud for sure. Throw in Nicolino and I don't see how you can pass up a deal like that it fills so many needs.

    Young catcher
    Young outfielder
    Young pitcher.

    Love it

    Yeah same here.

But mainly, i was just being sarcastic about how some people throw around some crazy ideas when it comes to trades in regards to what that poster offered.

If the Jays seriously made that offer (which obviously they wouldn't) i would make that deal in a heartbeat even with Harvey's potential.

LOL at trading Harvey for multiple prospects. The only way you deal him is if you are getting a superstar in return.

Look we all love Harvey but we had 59 innings of him last year.

There is no guarantees he is a superstar even if the general consensus here is that he will be.

If he pitches like this next year then there is no doubt you wouldn't deal him for anything else but a superstar but let's not jump the gun on Harvey. He has to pitch like this over a much larger sample size to buy the "Ace" label just yet.

Think about it objectively, if someone offered you those 3 guys (with all their potential) for a SP who at this point is all potential as well, you wouldn't make that move to get possibly a great OF, a great catcher, and a solid LHP spec?

I am one of the biggest Harvey proponents going and i am still making that deal everyday and twice on Sundays.

    Mariners traded Pineda for Montero

Mets can't trade Harvey for D'Arnaud and Gose? Plus possibly Niccolino

Please. Of course they would it.

There is far better chance of Harvey being a superstar than any of the guys you listed because 1) He's already had great big league success and 2)His stuff is far better than advertised, he would have easily been a Top 5-10 prospect in baseball if scouts knew he sit 93-96 MPH topping out at 99 with 3 potential above average swing and miss pitches.

If healthy, Harvey will be a great again next year. This isn't 20 innings in September, 59 innings is not that small of a sample and he showed flashes of brilliance. His poise and make-up is on another level and he's hungry to be great. It would such a mistake to trade him for anyone short of a sure superstar.

I honestly think Gose is 100% overrated and will be an average player at best. His AAA numbers in Vagas sucked balls. Why am I supposed to believe he's going to be an impact player?

I love D'Arnaud, but he's still a catcher they have short life spans.

Give me a break with Nicolino. The dude pitched in A ball and is years away.

That trade would set us back for the years, and the Blue Jays would reap the benefits.

The Mariners make the dumbest trades ever. There are so many players that they've traded away that have become very good players(Adam Jones, Brandon Morrow, Shin Soo-Choo, Rafael Soriano come to mind)

When Pineda comes back next year, the Yankees will be more than happy they traded Montero.
