    Underrated Artists

My 2 favorite under the mainstream radar are:

    David Gray
    Pete Yorn

    Great song writing and introspection.

I think a young Busta Rhymes is one of the all time great rappers. Probably a little biased though because I just love his old beat selection.

rasco, gang starr, planet asia, pep love.

Given the lack of depth and meaning of most mainstream music today, I'd say there's probably A LOT of underrated artists out there.

Az if your talking rappers is probably one of the most talented lyricist that doesnt get talked about regular in mainstream circles.

King Crimson is a personal favorite of mine, I know a little less about rock but I never see people bring up King Crimson when they talk about great rock artist and their music blows my mind. I know prog rock isnt for everyone but Genesis, Pink Floyd, and even Alan Parson Project get more accolades and they were all progressive.

If you don't understand what I mean see the formula below:

Incubus. Everyone just knows their cheesier singles, but everything else is way better. Great instrumentation and some great, more experimental stuff, but there's a stigma attached to them it seems.

the fact that whenever I bring them up to someone its always like a "yea, aight, they're cool". U know, like a meh, I like 'em but nothing special. or maybe I just over rate them?
