It's essentially a puzzle game in the mold of the early top-down Grand Theft Autos. Unless you're wearing the elephant mask, you can't get hit. At all. So there's a big challenge in rampaging on through each level in the proper sequence.

Heard mixed feelings talking to different people. Seems like a game I'd enjoy though, will try it at some point.

If you have a Steam account, Hotline Miami is now available for Mac (just got it) as well as PC. The controls take some getting used to -- WASD, top down, mouse to aim -- but it's a lot of fun. The storyline is dark and all kinds of messed up. Steam has it on sale for $4.99 as part of their indie game promotion.
