Supposed to be announced next week. I am getting this the day it comes out. Supposedly going to have eye tracking software so where you don't even have to scroll, just use your eyes.

I'm sure it'll be just as effective as the face recognition lock. That **** was garbage.
The S3 is good enough. So I don't see the need for another.
But if it makes the older models of phones cheaper with minimal upgrades, I'm for it.
I might even sell my iphone for an S3 and have a fancy dinner with the difference
Eh. I hope it has a lot more than the S3 then, because the S3 is still a very solid phone. I'd hate to see the Galaxy S line turn into the iPhone line and have a new one every 6 months. It's so annoying how sheepishly some people will buy a slightly upgraded phone on a yearly basis.
I've had my S3 since August (I think it came out in July) and I could honestly see myself being content with it for years, but I'll probably upgrade it August 2014 to get whatever's better. I just can't imagine there being a legit need for an S4 when the S3 isn't even one year old yet.

I'm gonna wait until my contract is up. I figure that at that point the S5 will either be out or almost be out (re-upped in July after the S3 came out). Still, excited to see what Samsung is going to do with this one.

The s3 has been a out for nearly a year, it was just released in June in the United statesOriginally Posted by manbearchef:25583032
So the phone is actually nearly a year old
As far as the features, why does anyone need the screen to automatically scroll?
First of all, it won't work in the dark, second of all, does scrolling make anyone's hand that tired that they feel the need to have the screen scroll automatically? Ur going to have to touch the screen at some point
Anyway, I'll be skipping the s4 unless it's cheap around my upgrade time, and even then, I'll probably to for the nexus 5 or the motoralla X phone
Phones these days to actual experienced Android users are nothing more than hardware, so I'm just looking for specs and good design, because I'll surely be flashing a rom on it within the first month, regardless of the device, because stock devices contain useless bloatware as well as features that either don't work all the time or are completely useless due to the apps you can find that are better than them in the play store
Look up an app called screeblr in the play store if you want a real smart stay
Does the S3 have anything like iMessage?
My wife uses her ipad to respond to texts from me from time to time and if I get the S3, she can't do that.
iMessage is a main reason I stay with iPhones.
There's an app called mightytext which does the same thing, free in the playstoreOriginally Posted by Iansnightout:25591101
This is my plan. I figure I'll wait for the inevitable S5 or S4.5 or whatever.
OT: I've always like the Windows phones, but I've been extremely cautious about getting one since I assume it has a significantly smaller market. Anyone on here recommend them over an Android?
Watch some reviews of their high end phones and see if you like the operating system and how it worksOriginally Posted by manbearchef:25591747
I personally came from windows to android, don't see any point in going back to that operating system at all, only one I'd consider would be Ubuntu in the future
