It's funny you say that Marty, I was just thinking that if Frankie the Whimp would have walked into my old neighborhood in Brooklyn he might have been greeted by irate Mets fan holding baseball bats, who just had a fight with their girlfriend, wife or mistress and lost and now wants to take out their frustrations. The Mets need to finally realize that saving money does not always save money. I can't even name how many players they went after that were less than top talent to try to fill a position and save a buck, only to have to spend to fill the ineptitude of the position. We signed a second rate (that's being generous) closer (that's being generous) and now we have a wasted year ahead where we have to figure out how to replace him
