Francisco certainly blows, which means he is a POS.

Dump da bastid. There's plenty of swamp land in Jersey.

He sucks. I have been on the Mejia to the pen bandwagon for 2 years, but I started to believe he could start in seeing his bullpen vs. starter splits, and watching his couple starts last year. So, I don't know who would replace him, and I don't want money going there instead of catcher/outfield. So, I'd say a combo of the two choices- use him, but try out EVERYBODY else in the meantime, and dump him as soon as someone shows ANY promise

Dump his fat useless ***, he was 23 of 26 in saves, but that does not factor in the amount of times he was pulled from sv situations...

As predicted he is not a closer and never has been, his ERA was well over 5.00 and his WHIP was 1.606.

He was INCREDIBLY FORTUNATE at least at face value to go 23-26.

Another terrible waste of money by Alderson.

I'm so tired of his act. Send him packing. If he is gonna stay, 8th inning at best!

Keep unless we can get somebody to take him on and save us ~$3 million. If he has a decent first half of the season, we could save millions by trading him.

I would vote dump but they probably can't, if he pitches well enough during the season they may be able to deal him at the deadline but aside from that he'll be out as closer i am sure by May or June.

    His ineffectiveness is palpable.

What a waste of money. Please don't let him close next year over young guys who actually have a future with this team.

I dunno, the Mets are in no shape to really bring in a top closer. In a perfect world the Mets would dump him and replace him with someone like Parnell. But I hate and trust Parnell just as much as I do Franky.

He's not going anywhere, so why bother...

    THANK YOU PROKY!!!

I would prefer Mejia or Familia, or maybe even Wheeler for now. The Sox had Chris Sale close his first year in the majors, and then he started the ASG the next. I wouldn't be against it.
