Lol great job by the tigers
Congrats to the Giants. One hell of a postseason they had.
I agree, congrats Giants...
They won the way the Yankees won back in 96-2000... with the exception of game 1, they manufactured runs. Which during the playoffs seems to be more effective...
The problem is... fans dig the longball, and it puts butts in the seats over the 162 games.
He's actually right, but I don't think you guys are aware of that.
As it stands right now, the rotation for the start of the season is:
Sabathia (even this could be a stretch if the elbow has issues)
Hughes
Nova
Phelps
???
There's no guarantee that either Kuroda OR Pettitte will be back. We can all hope or assume, but nothing is set in stone. Pineda is unable to do anything until at least the second half and that rotation as it stands is putrid, better hope to God Sabathia doesn't get hurt.
Now let's just assume you can get Kuroda AND Pettitte back. Suddenly, the rotation is good, but it only buys you a year. You can march into '14 with(just a guess):
Sabathia
Pineda
Hughes
Nova
ManBan/Phelps
Issue with that is that while Sabathia is good and Hughes is solid, you're left with three other question marks in the rotation, because Pineda, ManBan, and Nova are all from sure things (Phelps as well).
So yes, we need or will need shortly, some pitching.

agreed we need at least another ace or at least a couple of #3 starters at minimum... although if we could get this lineup hitting for average for a change perhaps there is enough pitching the carry them through a post season...
we would've been the swept like the tigers with the way our team hitting was... and wtf did zito come from... been drinking the cain juice?..
