    3-4 d

How would this defence look in a 3-4 base?
Would it be more effective? Who would you play where?

    Something like this possibly;

    DE: Derek Wolfe
    NT: Kevin Vickerson
    DE: Justin Bannan
    OLB: Von Miller
    ILB: D.J Williams/Wesley Woodyard
    ILB: Keith Brooking/Joe Mays
    OLB: Elvis Dumervil
    CB: Champ Bailey
    FS: Rahim Moore
    SS: Mike Adams
    CB: Tracy Porter

Edit: Can a Mod change the 'd' in title to a capital 'D' please. Looks messy.

3-4 works just because Von and Doom are standing up..and both of them standing up...WOW. Imagine the pass rush..

But it won't work because we don't have the personnel for it and teams will attack the poor coverage skills of Von and Doom...maybe if we had better LB's..

I like what we have now though..a little bit of everything.

    Maybe this would work?

    DE: Derek Wolfe
    NT: Kevin Vickerson
    DE: Elvis Dumervil
    OLB: Von Miller
    ILB: D.J Williams
    ILB: Keith Brooking/Joe Mays
    OLB: Wesley Woodyard
    CB: Champ Bailey
    FS: Rahim Moore
    SS: Mike Adams
    CB: Chris Harris/Tracy Porter

lol dumervil at de inthe 3-4 would shorten his career by 7 years.

I wish we would go to the 3-4 dumervil was his best that year. And olb in the 34 dont have to cover much and when they do its simple assignments dropping in a zone

nobody remembers dooms getting smoked in coverage in his 17 sack season. Wolfe would be a outstanding 34 de. All we need is a legit NT to make it work.

i just can't wait until DJ is back...that will allow Von to pass rush freely.

I think Mays should be moved to outside linebacker and DJ back to the middle

    woodyard - dj - mays/brooking
    Doom - vickerson - wolfe - Von

Despite all of the trouble DJ Williams has caused, it will be great to finally have him back. He's still a good player, just too many headaches lately.

Way too undersized on the D-line for a 3-4 in my opinion

    ..

Although listed as a 4-3 this defense is actually more of a hybrid. And to everyone who says dummervil looks better standing up I havn't seen him with his hand down in years, he is always standing alomst like an olb playing tight to the line all the time. Also just as a tidbit von miller has played excellent dropping into coverages so far this season at least from what I've seen, as he gets more comfortable with that it could be dangerous when disguising blitzes especially with elvis and derrick applying pressure effectively. I think as versitle as this defense is, its much better suited in a 4-3 hybrid. BOok ur superbowl tickets now cause peyton and the boys bringing it home this year!!

He is always standing up? I don't have to go too far to catch an instance with him and his hand down..
