Why did Carlisle sub Dominique Jones out when he just forced 2 turnovers and finished 2 layups in a row?

    what?

then he takes Marion out whos also causing turnovers and is 3-3. Ik hes not a scorer but still if there playing great keep them in for at least a few extra minutes.

We mentioned it in the transaction thread (not saying you can't post here, but there is talk going on in there if you want to check it out). I wouldn't be excited. It's one of the worst signings I could possibly imagine. It DOES NOT improve this team. Derek Fisher is a poor shooter, a piss poor defender, posts single digit PERs...there's nothing good about the guy. It will make our team worse. I would take ANY of DC/DoJo/Roddy over him.

Oh, didn't know there was already a topic of this going on. But it's not like the Mavs were going to win a championship with these players anyways. All these guys except for Mayo are on 1 year contracts. And in my opinion, I think Fisher will help with leadership. He doesn't make them a contender for sure, but the Mavs need leadership. We all know that they lost out on DWill, and Howard. That's a big if Howard doesn't re sign with Lakers. So let's hope they have another chance next year to get somebody. At least Dirk has a championship!

That's EXACTLY why we should play young players. What's the point of bringing in Fisher? It only hurts our future. It won't win a championship for us, that's for damn sure and it won't help us in the future. So why did we bring him in? The leadership aspect doesn't make him a good (or even average) player.

He will hurt this team. Not only because he sucks in every statistical way. But he hurts the continued development of our young players. Namely DoJo, who still struggles to shoot, but has shown a LOT of other bright spots. This is one of the worst signings ever, simply because it has no point. There's absolutely no good reason to have signed Fisher.

True, but maybe the Mavs have some kind of trade brewing soon. Who knows, but Cuban and Donnie are the ones making the moves. We'll just have to see how Fisher plays with the Mavs.

Fisher was the most pointless stupid signing ever. He wont play and if he does thats bad and he doesnt fit in with anyone on the Mavs. Like the players all got along well at least, Fisher is Kobe's ***** just like Odom was and they never get along with other squads
