I would hate to see Mo got out like this. He deserves to finish his career walking off the mound.

No. But how many 43 year old relievers are in the game? How many of that list are elite?

Except he's missing one ingredient that Clippard appears to possess, and that's the mental makeup to close out games. When Robertson comes into a 9th inning save situation he gets flustered and blows the game, or pitches poorly. I actually did not believe he'd do as poorly as he, but that goes to show you that you don't go around anointing Robertson as our future superstar closer just because he had one really good season.

How many are Mariano Rivera though? Obviously we have no idea how Rivera would do, but its not like we are talking about just any reliever here.

Mo will be back.....this is a ploy by his agent to keep the money at $15 million....The Rivera camp knows that Yanks want to curb payroll and knows basically Mo got $15 million for a measly 9 games and might want to pressure the Yanks by talking retiring so they don't lower the offer.....I fully expect Mo bck as he has been training extremely hard to get back into top shape with the knee....

Yanks will offer him $15 million for 1 year, this will happen within a week of WS...

If not then expect Robertson and Joba competing for the top prize....

Mo's different. He's not human, he's Jesus' brother or something like that.
