    Lohse and Berkman Probably Gone

I don't know how old lohse is or what kind of contract he would be expecting. But I would love the cubs to take a look at him and sign him to a long deal and put him in our rebuilding stage. Berkman I can see as a Dh for maybe the rangers or the athletics. Your thoughts?

    Kyle Lohse, Lance Berkman gone?

    Associated Press | October 25, 2012
ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak says it's unlikely the team will be able to re-sign 16-game winner Kyle Lohse. He also doesn't see a spot for Lance Berkman even if he were willing to accept a reduced role.

One person who is definitely gone is bullpen coach Dyar Miller. Mozeliak said Thursday that Miller was surprised when informed he would not be kept.

The defending champions ended up one victory shy of a repeat trip to the World Series, squandering a 3-1 lead over the San Francisco Giants in the NL championship series.

Lohse isn't very good, signing him to a long term deal is a bad idea.

    Lohse and Berkman Probably Gone

I retract my previous statement. I thought lohse was one of the younger arms in that rotation. Appreciate the facts. Have fun on the open market

Berkman could probably still be a solid DH if healthy.

Berkman will DH for the Astros next year, he'll need job and they'll need to put some butts in the seats.

Watch Berkman and Clemons playing in Houston next year.

Big THX to MJ's Bulls and pheagles10 on the sig help!

Lohse is a better pitcher than many people give him credit for but I wouldn't go near the contract he's about to get.

Berkman should go become a coach at rice (alma mater) like he's talked about doing. He's said already his knee will never be right again. It's not worth taking the chance of hurting it again to the point that he will have a useless knee to the point he may lose the ability to walk

I'm ok with both leaving. Lohse is probablt signing with an al team imo. Id say yanks, rangers, and maybe white sox may be possible landing spots for lohse.
    Berkman id say astros.

I love them both but wouldn't mind seeing $20 million plus off the.books and they both should bring us a draft pick
