I'm not exactly sold on Sappelt, would rather him be our 5th OF after signing a more proven platoon mate in Scott Hairston to pair with Nate.
It wouldn't be a great OF, but it'd be decent.
Are some suggesting that they would rather have Olt? Martin looks like a near lock to be at least a league average CFer. Same can't be said for Olt at 3B. I figured nobody was mentioning Martin because he is their CF of the future, while Olt has to be moved off of 3B just to get in the lineup.
They're really confident in Martin? Damn. He's going to be a solid player.
Every time I see Leonys Martin's name I think about how he and Olt would be Cubs if not for Garza's injury. Then I cry a little.
It's not Cubs related, but for anyone who digs seeing stadium renovations in progress, this article has some footage of changes being made at Dodger Stadium.
Any and all Dodger Stadium renovations should include sniper towers to patrol the parking lots.

Bruce Miles:
#Cubs and IF Luis Valbuena agree on one-year, $930,000 deal, avoiding arbitration.
Paul Sullivan:
Lillibridge gets non roster invite from Cubs.
No ********, I've always like Lillibridge a little bit since he was a prospect. He looked good when he was in the Braves system, at least early on. He can play the infield positions with some competence, and has some nice attributes in his offensive game including some patience. Obviously this is purely on a utility player level...
He did alright for the White Sox in 2011.
Hey look, it's the new Joe Mather!
