So Hoyer hasn't been behind anything so far? Or is he just way behind everything?
There's no way to really know who exactly is doing what. It's just easier to say Epstein sometimes.
TBH, I think it's a collaborative effort in terms of generating ideas between Epstien and Hoyer, even though Epstien gets the final say.
That kid they hired really does seem like a One Day GM candidate. Soooooooooo jelly.

Seriously, I just hang my head in shame.
Epstein is known for having a very collaborative approach and trying to get as many qualified opinions as possible on everything. I don't think you can say any one person is behind any single move unless you have a bug in all of their offices.
According to the Cubs, the signing of Edwin Jackson is official. A press conference is scheduled for 3:00pm CT.
ESPN:
Jackson and the Cubs agreed to a four-year, $52 million contract. The deal includes an $8 million signing bonus with annual salaries of $11 million per year, according to a Cubs source.

Here's a live feed for the Jackson presser.
Camera is currently zoomed out. Looks like they're hosting it inside the clubhouse.
Hoyer just sat down.
