Where's the 40-man roster at now?

Did we just get Loux for essentially free? Because I wasn't a big Brigham fan.

Technically, they got him for Soto.

Hey, that's fine by me. Barret Loux has some upside, even if it's limited due to his injury past.

Loux was drafted 6th overall in 2010, but they didn't sign him because of injuries. It's weird because he just became a FA then and signed with Texas. Seems like he's been pretty healthy the last 2 years though. Plus, we got another PTBNL, but it probably won't be much.

    Yeah that's what I'm wondering. He's also pitched extremely well in AA. 8.7 K/9 with a 2.9 BB/9 in 46 starts.

This was Sickles on him this season:
    25) Barret Loux, RHP, Grade C+: 12-1, 3.76 ERA with 77/32 K/BB in 93 innings for Frisco, 86 hits. Has had a solid year overall, although not consistently dominant despite the gaudy win total.

So Nick Struck can be taken in the Rule 5 Draft, basically. Who else could realistically get picked? Frank Batista, Dae Eun Rhee, Jay Jackson...

Here is the list of those who are Rule 5 Draft eligible.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but there's always the possibility that more moves may be coming.

I heard you were looking for me.

A bunch of "meh", really. I couldn't care much less about losing a single name on that list.

Me neither. I really don't think Rhee could stick on a 25-man roster an entire season. Jackson and Batista could be useful relievers for someone though. I'd rather have Struck over Coleman.

Agreed. Not much punch. I could see someone pick up a guy like Jeffry Antigua though.

He barely pitched in Peoria last year. It would basically be like us taking Lendy Castillo last year from the Phillies.

Lefties who can strike out one per inning usually garner interest. I dont think he gone, but is it more shocking then Castillo?
