Never played a halo game other then a few multi player sessions and was wondering if it would be weird or stupid to just go and get this one.

Would I be lost in the story and confused? Some games are only fun to play if you have played previous and progressed along with the game or else you are super lost.

The multiplayer alone is worth it. The campaign is pretty great as well. You can always google a summary of the others real quick.

Wow, I hopped into the slayer pro playlist tonight & I got throttled. Pretty big difference in my scores when ordinance drops & the UAV are gone, lol. I like the challenge though.

One thing kinda holding me back, at least I feel, is the amount of assists I get. In a 3 game span tonight I had a total of 13 kils to 42 assists. That's an extreme example of my problem, obviously, but do you guys have any tips to start turning some of these assists into kills? I'm in the action a ton & I'm putting some good damage on people. I just can't drop anyone it seems.

Get more headshots and less body shots. You're likely landing a lot of chest shots while your team mates come in and clean it up with a headshot

Yes it takes 4 headshots to kill versus 7 chest shots

I think if you go to YouTube IGN and other sites have Halo in 5 minutes or something like that where it is explained to you.

I've actually found myself improving. I mean, I bet it's got something to do with a few friends grabbing it, so we roll together a lot, but I'm enjoying this game a ton. I've only got a 0.83 KD so far after like... 10 hours of play, but I can feel myself improving since the start when I'd get routinely crapped on.

That tip about the DMR at range helped a load too. That thing's a beast on that Complex map (or whatever it's called)

Finally getting used to the DMR. I was using the Assault Rifle before that lol. Could use a good team though. My K/D right now is 1.6. Anyone wanna team up?
