New York Islanders will indeed be moving to Brooklyn, NY, upon expiry of lease on Long Island.

It's kind of a shame that by 2015 we'll actually be good, and the fans who have been coming out during the hard times might have to miss it. But in end this is the absolute right thing to do, the team clearly wasn't wanted on LI, and at least they get to stay in NY and relatively close to their old home at that.

I love this move. Not too far away. If any Ranger fan says 'good riddence', they are going to be disappointed. Now players will WANT to play for the Islanders due to a modern day arena. So the rivalry will return soon.
