You do realize Myers is a bit overrated. He is a great hitter, but is like Montero because he really doesn't have a position. He would get stuck here kinda of like Montero.

Myers can play the OF well enough and has a pretty strong arm which can help with his defensive progress down the line. Montero is a DH attempting to play catcher. Myers is a good enough defender to play the corner outfield spots, which we need help in. A great hitter plus average corner defensive outfielder = all-star level player. He wouldn't be stuck here. We need outfielders.

I doubt we can land Myers anyway.

This isn't even a rumor. It was part of a "what if" article on ESPN yesterday, ideas of trades by the author. Half of which were awful.

Hughes has one yr left before he;s a FA and Nova fell apart after the AS break last yr. Those aren't the kind of pitchers KC is looking for for Myers, If Banuelos would have had a good yr and stayed healthy or Pineda had stayed healthy they would have been they caliber of pitcher they want.

That would be pretty interesting, Swisher and Napoli might rake their but i think they would turnout to be bad long term investments, I;m very curious to see what kind of deal Swisher will get and how close to that 100m he want that he actually gets

Someone mention the Soxs going after Stanton, unless some offers like 4-5 A prospects the Marlins would be insane to trade him. Although nothing of what they have done in the 6 months has made alot of sense so who knows. If they do make Stanton available the asking price will be astronomical, Texas might be will to give up Profar, Olt plus for him
