here is why i say he isn't worth it

    1. can't perform in playoffs
    2. does not put up good numbers with runners in scoring position
    3. at times very bad defensively

i am a big Swisher fan but he is no where near worth 14 mil a year. He at most is worth 10-12 mil

not true, hes been one of our best hitters with RISP since being a yankee, better than jeter, arod, cano and others.

I dont think you are very familiar with what players are making nowadays. A 4 WAR player is worth around 13-14, but when you take into account the thinness of the market, it goes up a little.

He may be worth 12-14, but he will get 14-16.
You have no idea how excited I am right now.

Ideally, the Yankees entertain some sort of trade for Alex Gordon. I think he would thrive in Yankee Stadium.

Royals are looking for pitching and the Yankees can spare.

Yup. And our 2nd best offensive player last year. Everyone whines if you say, let's trade Cano. But Swisher...... let's run that dude out of town with torches.

If Swish was on any other team in baseball, we'd be praying we got the guy. Dumping Swisher will be a mistake.

What in God's name do you give up for Gordon? Hughes, Nova, Banuleous, Robertson, and what else?

Alex Gordon is a monster. He's gonna cost a TON.

The Yankees kicked the tires on Gordon in July according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.

My guess is as good as yours in regard to what the Yankees would need to trade.

But Gordon really is a monster.

I remember him being close friends with Joba Chamberlain as well.

    He's just a perfect fit.

Alex Gordon is a top 25 player in baseball. And he's young and cheap. How do you get him exactly?

There are many possible routes a team can take to acquire a player.

No fan knows how highly an organization regards some certain prosects.

Everything I mention would just be hot air. What I will say is, the idea of getting Gordon is one that intrigues me.

I have Yankee pursuit of him in July and quotes from the Royals to back up my stance that he should be in the discussion.

Only time will tell who the Yankees acquire. Gordon however tops my list. I want that to be made known.

I want Mike Trout. But have no idea how we can get him. It's easy to say I want player X, but we don't have the pieces to get him. Hell, I trade Cano for Gordon. But I don't feel like that is enough.
