Just wondering does anyone think we have the pieces to acquire both Stanton and J. Upton. Maybe a deal like Gardner, Hughes, Austin, Betantes, and Granderson for Stanton. And Man-ban, Romine, Nova, Nunez and G. Sanchez for Upton. Ik this will clear our system but both Upton and Stanton are 25 and under so they are almost like proven prospects. Then maybe dump A-Rod or Teix somewhere. Obviously I realize this is a fantasy but now that the Jays made this huge deal who knows Cash might try to retaliate.

It is not Cashman it is the owners getting beat....Thinking we have George running the team is not thinking smart.....Hal spent and won in 2009....he could care less about championships, just here for the profits now....they will be in the top 3 in payroll but will not buy anymore free agents for at least until ARod is gone.....

wasn't meant towards you but just towards the sentiment that if george was here is so annoying. Things change people need to move on. George was a reckless spender that hurt the team in his later years than helped.

nope he's just an overpaid depth, last year we signed freddy to a 5m deal early in the off season if we waited we could have had him cheap. There was plenty of pitchers tht signed just for the minimum. like Fatboy bartolo(in hindsight i'd prefer bartolos performance even with the 50g suspension over the crap we saw out of freddy)

As much as I love Kuroda, I wouldn't be all that sad if he signs with the Dodgers. Between Soriano, Swisher and Kuroda, those could be three sandwich-round picks, in addition to a regular first-rounder. That's a great chance to add some high-level talent to the organization. And I think that Nolasco could replace Kuroda for one year, and wouldn't cost us much of anything prospect-wise.
