Royals willing to trade gordon, moustakas, and or hosmer for starting picthing. What about Hughes for Gordon? or Hughes for Moustakas (if A-Rod is traded)?

Think about this, you are getting 3 1st rounders who have not touched their prime and we will have to pay cano big $ into his decline years (which we can do if we like him enough).

id push for paxton instead of hultzen, would just feel better than giving up 3 young 1sts, they are very close projection-wise.

than we can give you noesi back

PS- im pretty sure our fanbase likes ackley more than me.

i can see a Gordan for Hughes/Nova deal but if Tex didn't have a no trade clause i would try Texeria & Hughes for Gordan & Hosmer but that won't happen

You realize Gordon is a 6 WAR player right? You think they want a mid rotation starter in return?

Just cause they play on the Yankees doesnt mean they are automatically valuable
You have no idea how excited I am right now.

i am aware of that but Hughes is a guy who has shown that he can be dominant. Look at what happened to guys like Cliff Lee who had good stuff but were not elite. Then they change around some things and became great. I think Hughes could end up like that just because he has the ability. Also remember Gordan didn't really have a great year either he just got on a hot streak after the all star break

They dont care if he CAN be. Thats a huge IF.

    And Gordon had a great year: .357 wOBA, 126 wRC+, 5.9 WAR

And he actually got hot in June and stayed there.

    Hughes 2012: 4.23 ERA, 4.56 FIP, 4.35 xFIP

Luis Mendoza was just as good for KC as Hughes was. Terrible trade for them.

I'm not sure how the second trade is better than the first?

I'm not even 100% sure that gets that deal done.

I was also reading several ideas about a yanks KC trade match. Seems like a good fit. Some combo of :

    Hughes
    Nova
    Phelps
    Warren

    Can be dangled .....

Gordon would take Nova, Phelps, and a decent spec at the least. If they are desperate

But if the Ms offer Paxton and Vargas you dont stand a chance

    1. gets rid of Texeria's contract
    2. brings in youth in Gordan & Hosmer

    just my opinion anyways

Guys, I live in KC and from what I'm hearing here in town is that the Royals are looking for a pitcher like David Price or someone of that talent level for one of Hosmer, Gordon, or Moose. Unless we have a hidden gem in our farm, no deal will be made.

    Welcome to KC, Miss Kacie!

You have to consider that your gaining 2 middle infielders as well,

I figured youd say Paxton, but i think you would agree that Hulzen and Walker have higher ceilings.

Step 1: Trade A-Rod to Miami for just about nothing
Step 2: Trade Hughes for Mike Moustakas
Step 3: Trade for Justin Upton
Step 4: Trade Grandy for pitching
    Step 5: Let Swish Walk
Step 6: Resign Ichiro to 1 year deal
    Step 7: Resign Martin
    Step 8: Resign Chavez

    SS Jeter
    LF Ichiro
    2B Cano
    RF Upton
    1B Tex
    3B Moustakas
    DH Chavez
    C Martin
    CF Gardner
