BB would never allow it. It's his team and he's building it his way. He has a vision, and I trust that vision. The Patriots and Rex Ryan are incompatible.

If he comes here all the Rex Ryan jokes would have to go away.

I'd take it. I don't remember him being much of a trash talker when he was with the Ravens(I do remember though when he kept the perfect season alive for us.)

Actually I think it would be a great slap in the face to all Jets fans.

He is a great defensive mind, and he could certainly learn a thing or two from BB about being a Head Coach and GM.

Pretty much this, which there is almost zero chance of

If we could require him to have his mouth surgically stitched up closed, I would consider it.

I'd love to have him here if he keeps his mouth shut. That, and at his introductory press conference he needs to get on his knees and kiss Belichick's rings

I don't think coaching is the problem. We have a very young defense, and they are certainly struggling with being on the same page. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I think the defense will steadily improve as long as we can get healthier in the secondary. Ninko seems to be adjusting to his new role, and Jones/Hightower will only get better as the season moves on. Dennard also will continue to improve, and he has a ton of upside.

This might also play into his weight loss strategy.

More generally, this looks like a match made in hell to me. Can you think of two coaches with more opposite media relations strategies?

No, but I'd take Rob Ryan after Jason Garrett gets the boot in Dallas.
