It's so ridiculous he posted a 3.3 war last year with almost no offensive value haha

Well hopefully Garcia shows he is more than that slash line closer to his peak.

If that is all he is at his peak, then he is just a Counsell and really a utility player.

A peak should sit around .280/.360/.400

Which is a starter and top 15 shortstop in the game.

But he might never be that good. I was just predicting his 2014 numbers. It obviously depends a lot on how he does this year.

Shortstop has to be the focus at some point. We need a long term solution, and it's not that likely that Garcia reaches that peak. If he does, then he is your solution for 6 years. But that's far from a certainty, in fact it's unlikely. We need to continuously find assets for up the middle.

It's funny, SS is the only position where our depth is pathetic. We are in very good shape at literally every other position.

Also Rosenthal switched to 26, making it more likely he makes the team, if there was any doubt

I'd say he we pretty far from Ecksteins offensive ability and Eckstein was pretty far from Ryan's defensive ability haha

Well there was Chris carpenter basically tearing his head off in the dugout on national tv for not having his proper glove out and ready

And then Pujols ripped his ***

    And then LaRussa also did.

So basically all the team leaders ran him out together lol

I liked Ryan. But he was really qwearky and that rubbed others wrong.

He just wasn't a professional, and they want professionals.
