    No doubt.

If anyone had told me that we would lose Carpenter, but Lynn would adequetly replace him for much of the season, I would have laughed.

If anyone had told me we would lose Berkman for basically the entirety of the season, but we would still have as potent an offense as last season, I would have scoffed.

If anyone had told me we would lose Furcal and still make the play-offs, I would have doubled over in a painful laughter.

    Can't wait until next season.

    we lost

Tony LaRussa - hall of famer
Dave Duncan - deserving hall of famer
Albert Pujols - hall of famer
Lance Berkman - borderline hall of famer
Chris Carpenter - potential borderline hall of famer

We lost five big named guys from our World Series run, and we ended up a win away from going back to the world series again.

    Impressive season

I'm proud of this team. We were very successful in mike matheny's first year! I can only think it can only get better.
