I done with this argument, these guys don't care think realize how hard this play book is to learn, eli did it in 6 years, nor do they care that it takes consistency to be consistent meaning free needs time in 1 play book to become a consistent passer. Hell who knows the guy could very well be scrambling plays from past play books in his head accidently who knows! People need to sit back relax and let it play out, give the Damn guy a break and a fair chance in a consistent situation then evaluate the Damn guy stop prosecuting the guy!

I do think we need a better backup in the event he does not improve. New system after new system has not helped him. However the bad mechanics and footwork that worries me. He also makes bad decisions at times. The one thing with him that the elite QB’s do and he does not- Is scan the field. You cannot give up on him just yet.

I just laugh at the idea of people thinking we can bring somebody in to compete w/ him. Even if we brought in a M. Moore, J. Cambell, or C. Mccoy, it would simply be to upgrade the back-up position, not to challenge Josh for the starting spot. This is why I like the idea of drafting a guy mid-late round instead. The next Tom Brady could be out there, and you never know. There is not a lot of risk in spending a high pick on a guy who could be an upgrade at the back-up spot, become future trade bait, or potentially become a future star. The biggest risk you take is maybe the guy does not pan out. There are a lot of 4,5,6,7 rd picks that don't pan out every year. As a matter of fact, that is the norm.

god forbid we did make one of those trades mentioned, the next 5-10 years at least would be spent trying to find somebody who was as good as him, with numerous GMs numerous coaches and would guarantee us not to win a SB while Vincent's here.

I think some people are just unrealistic on how hard it is to even find a decent QB in this league...they watch Luck and RG3 and think its just easy, and now look at Washington. 50/50 chance he even plays next year and if he does he wont be himself. Salary cap hell, limited draft picks.

Since the start of 2010, he has top 10 yards, tds and completions...that says something.

^People go nuts over rookie QB;s every year, especially the athletic mobile ones. Josh tookm the league by storm in 2010, and by 2011 defenses knew how to keep him in check. the same thing happened to Cam Newton from 2011-2012, and the same thing will happen to RG3 and R. Wilson. I would not take any of those guys over Josh. A. Luck I do think is the real deal. I would take him or Rodgers over free, but that may be it! You can maybe make a case fro Matt Ryan, but i am not ready to say that.

Andrew Luck had a lower completion percentage(seems to be #2 complaint from haters), more INTs (#1 complaint) and less TDs

^ Just an opinion based statement on my part from watching him play. While most of the rookies should come down to earth, I expect A. Luck to continue to improve next season. You also have to realize that I don't read into stats as much as others do. TD/Int is the only real imortant stat for a qb in my book. Other then that, you really just need to see how a guy handles himself in all situations to make a judgment on him.

I am not even joking about this anymore..… If we Jettison Josh in some Steve Youngish scenario, and he goes on to win super bowls with another franchise as their starter, I will stop watching the Bucs…. I am sure there are plenty of clubs that are managed competently who would love to have a diehard dedicated intelligent fan like myself.

But he also lead the team that picked ahead of us last season to a playoff appearance in his first season something Josh has still not accomplished........ Pot stirred lol

Theres a lot of factors in that, a lot more than just QB.

Our offense scored 2.0 ppg more than Indys, while their defense gave up 0.4 ppg less.
I guess it had to do with their schedule and playing Tenn. twice, Jac twice, Jets, Bills, Dolphins, Browns, Chiefs...compared to the Saints twice, Panthers twice, Giants, Cowboys. Eagles, Vikings, Rams

AFC is quite weak this year.

This to me is the bottom line.

I think Mark-O is a smart GM. That being said hes not going to stick us with a P.O.S. QB just for the number one pick. There's really no point. I mean if this was last year and we could have gotten Luck or RG3 Id say maybe, but not this year.

^ If we got RG3 we would be in store for even more dissapointment then we are already accustomed to. That dude is real good, but he is going to get injured every single year of his career. M. Vick 2.0 only better, which will make it even more frusterating for skins fans!

We should resign him this year. A top 15 qb is better than bottom 15. If we ever pick top 2 in the draft (because we did horrible or got someone's pick somehow besides trading freeman) and there is a huge talent at qb then you take it as trade bate in future and competition to see if we can improve. As much as I think freeman is a bonehead when not consistent, he still a great talent and can win games. Big benn, tony romo, cutler are QBs I would compare his onfield play to.
