Anyone who talks crap about the preseason isn't worth the time and energy to make this thread.
The value of elite scoring ability, by Phil Jackson:
"This is a guy, we recognize his talent, and his skill is the kind of skill and talent that gets you through playoff games where things get sticky, grind-out, and basketball becomes a force game and suddenly you need to have a player who has the capabilities of scoring with someone hanging on them in a situation thatís critical. Heís one of those players, one of the few players who can do that.Ē
Who cares about the Nets?
This is a team that finished with the 6th worst record in the L and yet after adding JJ are supposed to be a top 4 seed? They're vastly overrated.
The most troubling aspect about them though is the noticeable DECLINE in Deron's production as well as his piling injuries. Shooting 35 and 40% in his career with NJ thus far is pretty horrible.
Has any Nets fan thought that maybe he was more of a product of Sloan's system in Utah?
I feel like my team will surprise a lot of people this season, but you don't see our fanbase gloating about anything on the main forum like the numerous Nets thread. Why? Because we're unproven and haven't done anything. Much like the Nets, no?
Childress is back to doing the things that earned him that big contract in ATL.
Evans is his usual nut grabbing all go no quit self
Wallace only played a few games last year and Lopez played even less.
Their Euros are getting adjusted but look like they will be solid off the bench for them.
Umm yea you have no clue.
As far as Deron we will see. I won't den he has looked bad since leaving Utah.
Hawks didn't sign him to a big contract. He played on his rookie deal before signing with a Greek team to play overseas.Originally Posted by Chill_Will_24
Evans is a rebounding specialist and pesky defender, but not much more.
Lopez is coming off a major foot injury and still can't rebound or play D.
So again, where am I wrong?
