The Oakland Athletics twitter page stated that we traded cliff and Yordy Cabrea for OF Chris Young. Does this mean we're not going to keep Gomes and sign Drew to an extension? Post your thoughts.

Damn, these moves are happening already and I'm liking them. Cliff was nice, but definitely expendable. Yordy was already traded from Arizona to Florida for Heath Bell. Poor guy being traded twice in a day .

I think this means that this leaves room for someone else to traded. Gomes loves it in Oakland and I can easily see him coming back if the price is right (I think he'll take a discount, too). I think Beane is going to make a lot of moves in the coming weeks.

The way it's looking at this point Crisp will most likely be gone. There's no way we're going into the season with Cespedes, Young, Crisp, and Reddick. It's going to come down to Young or Crisp. Our outfield defensively is going to be amazing next year if it ends up being Cespedes, Young, Reddick.

Looks like the possibility of Drew coming back has just risen largely as well.

Beane doesn't factor emotions into making team decisions. Gomes won't take a discount to comeback; his 18 HRs will get him a nice bump in salary elsewhere.

I think we will move Crisp or Reddick, most likely Coco since his salary is commensurate with Young's and they both play CF. Young also makes $11 in 2014 with a buyout, so we'll prob only have him for 1 season.

Moving Pennington opens the door for Inge to return as a utility guy.
