    Cool Hawks/Lakers

Since J-Smoove isn't going to safely resign with the Hawks and wants to explore free agency next summer, ATL shouldn't be opposed to trade talks.

Obviously, he'd be a great fit for the Lakers.

The Lakers don't have many trading pieces, but they have new players from the draft and future-future picks for ATL.

Smith would be great in LA and would definitely improve LA's speed up the court. Imagine Steve Nash dishing him the ball for killer dunks. He easily has more energy than MWP, who is clearly not the player he used to be. And what good is his defense if he's being suspended half the time?

Not only that but the Lakers deserve to lose a trade for once. With this, I don't see it happening.

this trade is awful for the hawks. keep in mind the lakers traded away a good many picks already. its just a bad trade not only do the hawks lose but the lakers get ride of there two worst contracts.

lol, what? The Hawks wouldn't do that even if they could keep Josh Smith. They could dump him on some team under the cap, take nothing back, and they'd be better off than doing that trade.

It's unlikely he goes to the Lakers, but if he ever did it would almost certainly involve Pau.
