    Off-season Moves

Hello Reds fans. I was wondering your opinion on a few subjects for the Redlegs this offseason.

    1) Will Rolen retire?

    2) Do we let go of Broxton, Bray and Madson?

3)Do we move Chapman to starter or keep him at closer?

    4) If Ludwick does not sign could you see us going for a trade and if he does sign, what do we do with Stubbs? He is under control contract wise and he's cheap but his playing leaves something to be desired.

    Thanks fellas

No. I think he will return on a 1 year deal as a backup at 3B and a pinch hitter.

    2) Do we let go of Broxton, Bray and Madson?
Broxton and Madson no. Bray yes.

3)Do we move Chapman to starter or keep him at closer?
    Chapman will Close.

    4) If Ludwick does not sign could you see us going for a trade and if he does sign, what do we do with Stubbs? He is under control contract wise and he's cheap but his playing leaves something to be desired.
I don't see the Reds making any trades (must keep what minor league talent they still have). I think Stubbs is a 4th Outfielder/Pinch Runner in 2013. He could also be a late defensive sub.

The main question should be if Bob is cheap this offseason or if he lets Walt make us a true World series contender.

    Yes

Bray returns for sure. I think Broxton will (unless another team will pay him a lot to close). Madson no

3)Do we move Chapman to starter or keep him at closer?
    Closer

See if Phipps can play LF in the majors. and trade Stubbs and get another CF/leadoff hitter

    2) Do we let go of Broxton, Bray and Madson?Broston walks, Bray will be injured most likely and I'd keep Madson if possible.

3)Do we move Chapman to starter or keep him at closer? If we can keep Madson, starter. That would be a sick rotation.

    4) If Ludwick does not sign could you see us going for a trade and if he does sign, what do we do with Stubbs? He is under control contract wise and he's cheap but his playing leaves something to be desired.
If the Yanks are willing to eat the 100 million that is being thrown out there, does bringing in A-Rod make sense at 3rd? They could move Frazier to LF and try to get a leadoff hitter not named Stubbs or Phillips.

I hope Walt doesn't even consider touching A-Rods contract. i don't care how how much the Yankees will pay of it, it's still not a good contract. he's 37 and on the decline. Frazier will still be a better and cheaper option at 3B

I heard a lot of good things about David Bell. Hope we didn't let a good one get away.

the rumor last off season was that he was going to be the manager next season for the Reds. who knows, his overall managing record was a losing record, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad manager.

I agree. I don't want to lose Bryan Price, but unfortunately I don't see anybody holding him back should he be given the chance to manage.
