Santana Traded to the Royals

The Royals have acquired Ervin Santana from the Angels, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports (on Twitter). It's not yet clear what the Angels are obtaining in return for Santana.

I wonder what we get



UPDATE:

Confirmed, via source, #Angels sending $1M to #Royals. So, they pay what buyout would've cost and get a LH back. Better than nothing.

And even worse we have to pay part of his contract too. SMH. Santana had a $1 million buy out. Why not use that?

I'm gonna wait until we hear the official specifications of the deal. Picking up the option and trading him with cash for nothing makes very little sense as opposed to letting him walk for 1M.

I don't see how that could be the case.

Sisk has some pretty nice numbers, I don't really care about the age of relievers as much as starters/position players.

So we would have paid 1M anyway as a buyout, so we got a nothing reliever for free.
