"Well, that kind of puts a damper on even a Yankee win."

Yankees likely to make Swisher a qualifying offer but only to retain the draft choice not him

#yankees will pick up the $13M option on granderson's deal for 2013. easy call there, despite postseason struggles.

C - Martin
1B - Tex
2B - Cano
3B - A-Rod
SS - Jeter (Nunez may be the opening day starter if Jeter still recovering)
RF - Ichiro
CF - Granderson
LF - Gardner
DH - Someone cheap
Maybe a couple new arms in the bullpen, but most of the cast will return for 2013. I expect no significant changes unless Kuroda or Andy do not return, then we'll be in the market for a replacement.
Upton is not coming here. (Although I sure as fk wouldn't mind it)
CF- Bourn
SS- Jeter

C- Martin? Unless something better comes along.
LF- Gardner
Although unlikely, Im going to say Grandy gets traded. Swisher walks, and A-Rod stays put.
Thank you Mo! We will forever be grateful for your service to our team not only as a player, but as a person. A living legend. You will forever be in our hearts, and forever be the greatest of all time. Now go get them one last time, Sandman!

Definitely the most likely. Not to say it won't worry the hell out of me though. Like Swisher or not this lineup isn't as good as this years.
I imagine they'll be in another holding pattern hoping to see what the next wave of prospects (Williams, Sanchez, Austin, Heathcott) do next year before they do anything too huge. We just have to pray they do better than the last wave.

He's right. Everyone blames him, but the fact is that besides Jeter and Ichiro no one else hit. Especially Cano. But everyone goes after Alex and it's not fair. Cano was worse.
