Remember when the Marlins got the same guys they just traded away and everyone thought they were going to be good?
Slickified!

Kuroda prefers to pitch in CA unsurprisingly
Hopefully there is still some pitching available after Pettitte decides what he wants to do in 2 months
Let em all go. We ain't winning in 13 anyway.
I'm fine with a year like that as long as they retool next year.

Melky should fill that number 2 hole pretty well for that lineup.
Next year they will get even more strict with their money though. If they had some sort of plan about what they are doing I'd be fine with a down year to get back on track. Obviously I don't know if they do or not, but it really doesn't seem like they have an actual feasible plan for the future.

At least when I go to Rogers Centre next season the Jays teams won't be so boring.
Yanks only have $70 million committed in 2014. Of course, they need to sign 20 more guys.
Oh.

Next season will be interesting. Never know how things will go with injuries and such but it could be the year the yanks miss the playoffs. Or they win the division yet again. Really hard to gauge at this point

They will be better than they were, but they let's look at who they added:
Buehrle, whose coming off a so-so year and who has not had much success against either Boston or New York (he's 1-8 with a 6.84 ERA lifetime against the Yankees).
Reyes, who did play all of last season but missed parts of the previous three and will now have to play on concrete for half of his games.
Melky, who who missed half a year and will be off the PEDs. Who knows what that adds up to.
Josh Johnson, who was pretty much a league average pitcher in 2012 after missing almost all of 2011.
To me, that doesn't look like an extra 17-20 wins.
