And Soriano was a weird situation.....Feliciano a wreck.....hence, the Yanks are now basically scrap heap vet buyers......and pretty good at it.

I don't see whats so crazy about that.

I'd take having an elite hitter in the lineup every day over rotating position players where garbage hitters like Jones, Martin, Nunez, Nix, etc...get DH days.

Luckily for the Yankees almost every free agent pitcher this offseason falls into the "scrap heap, hope to get lucky" pile so they'll have a lot to choose from.

Well looks like he might become a free agent. Deal fell apart. If angels don't pick up 15.5 club option.
