Unless he's willing to take a pay cut or we definitely say no to Swish, I don't think he comes here. Just to add, Hunter made $18M last year and had one of his better seasons. I don't think he's gonna come as cheap as some people might believe.

    Possible, but I doubt it.

i am liking the idea of Hunter coming in the guy is a good clutch player. That being said i would rather take a chance on Melky Cabrera first just on the fact that he has alittle more upside than Hunter. Lower risk in my opinion

No one will care about his baggage if he hits like he did over the last two years.

Big Papi Hitting The Open Market

He was trying to "bridge a modest gap" with the Red Sox but recent reports suggest

It appears likely that Ortiz will hit the open market, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

Boston's exclusive negotiating period ends Saturday morning, at which point Ortiz will be free to discuss a contract with any team.

Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe hears from both sides that Ortiz isn’t close to a deal

Yankees considering sliding Gardner into centerfield and moving granderson to a corner spot.

Would be a good move, not sure why it wasn't done earlier.

The comments are funny. Grandy is a faster Giambi. Ha.

Would be a good move hopefully opening the door for a Granderson trade? Hopefully they go through with moving Gardner to CF he played his best baseball there in my opinion. Next i forgot to mention why Melky would be good to bring back
    1. even if he goes back to being what he was in 08-09 he still can be a very productive player for the Yankees
    2. bringing back Melky would help Yankee fans to forget Nick Swisher seeing as how Melky was a fan favorite here in New York
    3. he really doesn't have baggage besides what was reported from a couple of New York papers really

Although theyre not the smartest or in any way realistic moves, color me giddy if we signed Ortiz and josh.

    I'd never miss a game.
