Funny how people on this site want us to get rid of contracts like Arod, Teix, and they don't want Grandy, Cano, Swish on them, yet it's ok for us to sign Hamilton and Borun to them. Some people are idiots.

I say sign juiced up Melky to a 1 year deal and let Grandy walk. Melky should still be able to put up roided numbers for one more season before he goes on the Arod decline path. You can probably get him cheaper then picking up the Grandy option.

I think Nunez would be a perfect fit for RF. Not sure one winter ball season makes him "decent" enough to do that.

That's my starting outfield for 2013

This is actually a smart idea. Melky will come cheap now. One year deal.

Gotta love when people think being a GM in a video game works the same as it does in real life.

No clearly Wright is going nowhere close to here. I believe Arod will be back because I think his ego wont allow him to go out like this from the Yankees. He has so much to prove and whether or not he can change the doubters minds is irrelevant, hell be back.

While I would love to have Upton its not realistic to expect him to be here. Is it impossible, well I guess nothing is impossible but its highly unlikely.

I do agree the Ichiro absolutely needs to be back, I dont care how we do it but he needs to be here. I also agree that we need to find a way to keep Nunez in the lineup consistently. Hes got a great bat and we desperately need more people in the lineup that have speed and can create on the bases.

Its going to be an interesting offseason so lets all hope for the best.

with the money you save for getting rid of granderson it could be put towards Hamilton.
I think Arod is still a decent hitter and I would play him in the field as well but I do not want a young talent like Nunez to not be on the field.

Unless he learns how to play the outfield, Nunez should not nor cannot be on the team next year. It doesn't matter if its at short, second or third Nunez is a horrible defensive player. He may be the worst defensive player in baseball. And he doesn't have a good enough offensive game to warrant being a full time DH.

Why is everyone so high On Justin Upton?

He's really not that good.

Oh and he's really not that good of a fielder either, he's lead the NL in errors by a RF 3 out of his 6 years, and finished top 5 in the other 3 years.

He's a career .278 hitter, yeah let's blow up the little left we have of our farm, for that.

I disagree with you somewhat.
I see a player that has never had a chance to hone his skills at one position. A player that has the skill set to be a very good defensive player. Will he? I do not know until he has the chance to stay at one position and work hard at his defense. Remember Jeter has tons of Errors his last year in the minors and he turned out to be a very good defender. I just want to see the kid get a proper chance
