    Stephon Marbury: Hall of Famer?

The man put some some great, great stats for a point guard in his prime. Yes, his prime was not very long, but is that his fault? Bill Walton is in the hall of fame, and his prime was MUCH shorter than Starbury's. Why should Stephon get penalized for it?

Should he be a hall of famer?

I'd say no. He never really had much success as a goto player in terms of team wins. His days with the Nets, Knicks, and Suns were productive but it never led to any playoff success.
He had Garnett in Minny so it's tough to know how much impact he specifically had on that team.

Bill Walton and "Starbury" don't belong in the same sentence.

    absolutely not.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

Even expanding my mind and accounting for the hall's leniency I don't see it.

not only was walton infinately better in his short time,he wasnt the cancer that star was, onmtop of that walton is also arguably the greatest college player ever(which is what got him in the hall),which star isnt.no way marbury is ever getting close to the hof unless its as a visitor

I move for a mini ban for threads like this that don't showcase a hint of sarcasm.
    A timeout if you will.
No. Starbury does not get into the hall of fame. 2x all star, 2x nba third team. Bronze Medal. He gets in when Michael Redd gets in.
