Well how are they similar? Monroe gets his points off put-backs and other junk, Aldridge gets his in numerous difference ways.
Why is he more similiar to Scola? And what are the numerous ways that Lamarcus Aldridge gets them more besides the mid range where Monroe is starting to catch on?

Monroe might be just starting to hit 15ft jumpers here and there, but Aldridge is deadly if left alone from 18ft. As for other ways he scores, he backs guys down which Monroe can't really do, he elevates over defenders, pick and roll, and fast break just to name a few.
Isnt Scola more of a shooter than a putback kinda guy though?
Looking at that list you had I still think his game closer to Aldridge than any of the others. Its not like I just came out of nowhere and started a thread saying Monroe is exactly like Aldridge.
I think HotMayo might be to Monroe what Shyfly is to Stuckey, haha!

Not sure how to find a chart on his shot locations or anything like that, but he has shot only 17 3s in his 5 year career. I know you didn't exactly say he shoots 3s, but any guy that hangs out on the perimiter in any way would shoot more than 3 triples per season. It's obvious you have never watched the guy play because if you had you would see that their games are extremely similar, and without athleticism, Monroe will never be more than an average PF at best.
Anybody that thinks Monroe will only be a borderline starter or average doesn't watch basketball. Hes not to far away from being an all-star.
