Monroe needs to keep working on his shooting if things are going to work out as well as most of you think, at this point him and Drummond are basically just put-back guys.

Whats wrong with his shooting?I think hes pretty consistent with his mid range shot and even creates his own shot with a couple pump fakes.Monroes skill set is going overlooked because hes a under the rim player so people arent seeing flashy dunks and hold that against him.
I want to see the lists of centers that averaged at least 15pts 10 rebs in theyre second season,I would imagine its a impressive list.

Sign Josh Smith, Shawn Marion, and Chauncey Billups
2013-14 Pistons
3 guard rotation - Knight, Stuckey, and Billups
Small forward - Marion/Prince/Singler
Power forward - Josh Smith/Jerekbo
Center - Monroe/Drummond
mix of youth and veterans. Could challenge the Bulls and Pacers for the
division.
Here's a list of guys still playing that put up at least somewhat similar numbers in their 2nd season
Lopez 19-9
Boozer 15.5-11.5
Brand 20-10
Marion 17-11
P.Gasol 19-9
Howard 16-12.5
Jamison 19.5-8.5
M.Gasol 14.5-9.5
Bosh 17-9
Love 14-11
Pekovic 14-7.5 (playing next to Love, help or hurt?)
Stoudemire 20.5-9
Scola 13-9
Aldridge 18-7.5
Cousins 18-11
Ja.Thompson 12.5-8.5
Okafor 13-10
Smith played out of position because marvin williams was the number 2 overall pick at the small forward position. They had to play smith at the four. Then they draft horford who is really a 4 playing a 5. AND ANYONE IN HERE who thinks JOSH smith at age 26-27 is a risk because he is getting old and going to lose his athleticism (lol wtf?) needs to look at greg monroe and say holy **** what about his athleticism against top notch nba teams? Whats his stats against cousins, perkins/ibaka/ bosh/ howard ? are they dominating? are they 20 /10 ?
Royce White better than Anthony Davis
Scottie... "Drummond sucks"
I'm 99% sure you don't like me, but I'm 100% sure I dont give a f u k

You can also say he put up those numbers because he was on a bad team.
Some of the guys on that list don't put up great numbers, but they either play really good defense and/or are on really good teams so they don't get the shots and/or they play next to another good rebounder etc...
If Monroes numbers increase I will be shocked, his scoring might stay about the same, for now anyway, but I have a feeling his rebounding is going to take a hit. I really feel like if he doesn't develope a really good 15-18 foot shot he will be a borderline starter for the majority of his career.
Just curious
Who on that list do you think Monroe is most like?
For me it's Scola
Play style probably L.Aldridge.
A lot more athletic, a much better shooter, defender, shot-blocker, and more versatile. LA is miles ahead of Monroe, and it has nothing to do with age.
Moose last year(age 21)-15.4pts,9.6rebs,2.3ast,0.7blocks,1.3stls,fg%.521
Aldridge last year(age 26)-21.7pts,8.0rebs,2.4ast,0.8blocks,0.9stls,fg%.512
Looks pretty similiar to me aside from points per game so him being miles ahead of Moose I dont buy and I think well see Mooses ppg rise this year as well.
