Well, time for game three.
This forum has been by far the greatest sports forum I have ever been a part of. We have our disagreements and our arguments. We have our negative posters and our senile war veterans, but all in all this is a great place to be.
Despite our differences, we all want to see one thing, the Yankees winning the World Series. We might be down, but we can still win this thing. Remember the times when we weren't supposed to beat the "Big Bad Braves" or the 2001 comebacks. How about Boone's walkoff homerun? 2009? How about this year when we have fought adversity and a tough O's team, but never looked back.
The players are frustrated, the fans are frustrated, but regardless of this outcome we should be proud that we are fans of an historic franchise that is in yet another ALCS.
I started saying that we all needed to start showing support about a month ago, before the unified sigs, and it happened. We need to get back to that. Its probably true that no one's threads are magic and its probably true that what we say or what we have in our sigs doesn't impact the outcome of a baseball game, but the unison is whats key. Yankees fans need to be unified and we need to back our players.
Best record in the AL for a reason, not by chance. As terrible as our luck has been and as bad as we look, it only takes one pitch, one swing, one at bat to make everything different. Until this team has its final out, we need to make a stand. Vent frustrations somewhere else, but support this team.
Men's best successes come after their disappointments. Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you were made to do. If you're going through hell, keep going. With a new day comes new thought and new strength. Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.
"These streets will make you feel brand new. Big lights will inspire you. Let's hear it for New York, New York,
New York"
Lets go Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
