A-Rod[part of his deal paid for], Gardner, & Nunez for Josh Johnson & Logan Morrison

Let Swisher walk, Sign Josh Hamilton, & re-sign Ichiro, Martin & Kuroda to 1 year deals.

Trade Hughes, Betances, & another prospect for Chase Headley.

Obviously i'm dreaming but wouldn't it be nice?

Why all the desire for Hamilton? He is not going to handle the NY spotlight. Consider him Greinke part2. Headley? Nope. Dont they have people in the farm that can step up? Ronnier, Puppy, someone..

Hamilton is probably going to command as much as A-Rod. And MAYBE more years then what A-Rod has left. Im sorry, but in that case, I would rather stick with A-Rod than deal with someone like Hamilton.

And no way I trade Gardner/Nunez in a deal for Morrison/Johnson. First of all, you're pretty much taking away any speed we have left in that lineup. If you take a look at the lineup you have, that is going to be a headache to watch on the base paths. Gardner, is a little underrated. He is arguably the fastest man in baseball, plays Gold Glove defense, and can give you a few hits every now and then but I don't believe he has reached full potential. With Nunez, if he improves his defense, he is probably our future SS. I don't think he gets much credit.

If you are going to trade guys like Gardner and Nunez, especially in a package, you better be getting at least one elite pitcher/player back.

    I wouldn't give you a Single A prospect for A-Rod.

I hate Phil Hughes more than I hate the Taliban, but how in the world could you have Nova starting over him in '13? (not worth mentioning the rest)

edit: nevermind, i see where it says you traded him for the Padres best player. Got it

Nova is a winner, not like Hughes.

So much for that small chance A-Rod was going to Miami. Heath Bell was just traded to Arizona.

HA, good luck with those plans of trading him. First you must eat about 15 to 20 mil of his yearly salary; what a joke that contract is. OH, that's if he don't block the trade first. like I said good luck with that!

Via Jon Heyman: Brian Cashman says that he has no plans to try to trade Alex Rodriguez this offseason despite talk to the contrary. “He’s our third baseman … I’m going to focus on other areas,” said the GM before flatly saying he is not planning to discuss any deals involving A-Rod. Cashman denied having trade talks with the Marlins the other day.

This will be the offseason script, so be prepared. We’ll hear that the Yankees are talking to some team about A-Rod, then Cashman will deny it. Rinse, repeat. Even if they are having talks, he’ll still deny it. The only time the team will acknowledge that trade talks have occurred is when they send out a press release announcing a trade, if it ever happens. The Yankees tend to do things — especially major moves — very quietly and for good reason.

Maybe this means we're now trading him to Arizona.
