Seems like everyone's getting a shot to start these days, but rotation spots at AA and AAA are starting to fill up and it's hard to squeeze McNutt in. I'm guessing he stays in the pen.

This was probably posted already and discussed but Maples at 4? No Paniagua? No Pierce Johnson? I disagree with this list quite a bit.
He can kick a 50 yard field goal easily. How can you not put him in the top 5?!

Lake is hitting .336/.401/.496 with 4hrs in 131 ABs while in comparison Oscar Taveras is hitting .319/.385/.500 with 4hrs in 144 ABs both are in the Dominican Winter League. Not that these stats mean all that much but it's really nice to see Lake putting up strong offensive numbers.

As long as he continues to walk I'll stay interested. He made pretty big strides there this year.

I can see putting Maples 4th if you're going purely on ceiling. But event that's somewhat of a stretch.
Don't give up on us now...

yeah, gotta rate Vizciano higher due to proximity and Vogelbach because his ceiling is a bit more likely, I think.

Posting any Cubs related Q&A from an ongoing chat with Jason Parks:

Question: Does Vogelbach ever make the Bigs as a regular? Or is his bad body and zero defensive too much for his bat to overcome?

Jason Parks: I don't care about his body. He's a 1B/DH not a shortstop. If the bat plays, the bat plays. I think it will. He can really hit.

I heard you were looking for me.

That 2011 draft had an incredible first full year as pros. They opened up a lot of eyes.

I really hope Vogelbach keeps mashing and makes it extremely hard for the FO to decide between him and Rizzo in a few years.

Agreed. It pisses me off that Hendry actually did well(with this one) when we were willing to spend. We've been so poorly owned/run for too long. I'm glad Ricketts is committed to winning, just sucks the new CBA limits us from going crazy and getting good and young fast.

Because if the previous owners had been willing to spend on the draft the Cubs would have a lot more talent in the org/mlb level....

You clearly are misreading what I bolded. Regardless of them not spending previously, why would anyone be pissed Hendry did well when they did spend? Because of "what could've been"? That's a lame rationale if so

    Edit: Misread

Not at Hendry, Moreso that we've been run so poorly. And when we finally figure out you can spend on amateur talent and it's much cheaper than overpaying for FA, it's too late. I'm glad Hendry added that talent, I'm upset that for the first 20 years of my life, we were ran like ****. Poorly worded it, my bad.
