Would anyone else want Danny Haren back? I love Haren, but it is unrealistic and doesn't make a ton of sense for us to try to add him. That being said, what do you think he will get on the market this year? I can see somewhere between 10-12 mil per year 2 years. If we could get him for 8 or 9 for 2 years I think that would be a good deal. But overall adding an expensive SP isn't our priority. If this were somehow to happen we could make some of our sps expendable and add somewhere else.

Not when Billy Beane is successful at churning our quality SP's for cheap. I would love to have Haren back, but not for that amt of $.

We should be able to find another cheaper veteran starter on the market.

you guys remember Esteban Loaiza? if my memory is correct, thats the last time we signed a veteran SP to a semi-long term contract

I love Haren, but the one place we don't need to spend money is SP because we've got lots of it. So unless Haren comes in cheap like the scenario Cheez proposed, I'd say no. I highly doubt that happens though, I really think someone will offer Haren a decent deal based on his history.

I think Haren would have a bounce back year in Oakland. You can never have too much pitching. Anderson, Haren, Parker, Malone, Straily, four young guys and a Vet. I love McCarthy but he's oft injured.

A-Rod, if NY paid 99% of his deal and he was DH, maybe BB thinks about it, but I don't think this will happen. He doesn't wanna play here, the fans don't want him here.

If we had Norris and Naps, holy poop! That'd be dope. I actually really like Nap. Play him at 1st, DH, and rotation catcher. He's a legit pro hitter.
