    Tim Lincecum vs Josh Johnson

Who would you take going into next season? Both just came off of horrible seasons for their standards, and are both going into their AGE 29 season. So you see any bounce back by both of them, or are they washed up?
Aight, lemme end this with a KO right now:

    Ryne Sandberg: 9282 PA | 4.05 fWAR/600 | 4.2 rWAR/600 PA
    Chase Utley: 5128 PA | 6.32 fWAR/600 PA | 6.26 rWAR/600 PA

Utley has 1/2 as many PAs right now...thats definitely whats hurting his HOF hopes, but he has been clearly more valuable than Sandberg in his career. If he can get another 2000 PA (3 full seasons) of 4.5+ WAR rate, then he >>> Sandbage

Both will bounce back. Gimme Lincecum next season if I had to choose.

I think it's hard to say a player is washed up after one bad season. You can't even use "washed up" and Josh Johnson in the same sentence. He wasn't even bad. Maybe not up to his standards, but certainly not bad.

JJ simply cause Lincecum's delivery is finally catching up with him so velocity will continure to drop, injuries will start to happen and he's simply just not a smart enough pitcher to get by without his velocity behind him

Give me the guy that won 2 cy youngs less than 5 years ago. Timmy was lights out in the postseason(relieving), so obviously he still has all his stuff he just needs to locate that fast ball.
