Now that the A's got Young, what do you guys think about Seth Smith? He's a pretty solid and clutch player and really underrated. I think he'd be a pretty good option for LF next season

I think the A's are just going to get rid of Crisp and then they'd be set in the outfield. And, personally, I think Duda can put up better batting numbers than Smith in a full year.

Big kid too at 6'4 but i hear Boston and LA are already scouting him heavy.

On Metsblog, they said Rosenthal said that Upton could be had still in a deal based around a SP. I would def try to trade Dickey in a deal for him. Niese is a guy you want around for a long time. Imagine that

I am really surprised the Diamondbacks want SP with Bradley, Skaggs, and Bauer not to mention all the SP they already have.

I still don't think the Mets have enough with SP like Dickey or Niese and Flores but it wouldn't be the first or last time i was wrong.

True but you would think a team like that would have other areas of need like maybe more major league hitting ready prospects with all that young pitching.

If we were to trade Dickey, it would be to a team in true need of a front line starter who would be willing to give up their top prospect(s).

If we trade Dickey, it needs to be for young players with great potential. Trading for Upton would be something the Mets do to become a contender. By trading Dickey for him, it doesn't really make much sense.

Chase Field is one of the best bandboxes in the league, i wonder how much of that inflates Upton's numbers.
