You don't need some stud catcher to be a good team. Just one that is better than Thole.
I'm sure if the argument was flip flopped and Sick said that he has potential to be better, you'd come back and say "He's 29 years old. He's not going to get any better."

Hope that sucker is the Mets. Why would the Padres give him an extension if they thought he blows?
Because many teams are suckers who give a guy a new deal based on a blip of good year and hope that that is a taste of things to come. Many times those hopes come crashing down.

Why? I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing dude. Why would I waste my time doing that?

The more I think about it the more I dislike the Nick Hundley suggestion.

He's a "Sandy Alderson" guy but so were Chin Lung Hu and Andres Torres.

I wouldn't be upset with him but he isn't my top choice whatsoever.

Like Sick said, he's just an adequate fix. He's not changing anything.

But Hundley can still improve at age 29?

Chin Lung Hu was the best thing to happen to this team in years

Fasten your seatbelt, because I gotta do some chemistry homework. Don't be surprised if I start to mention Niels Bohr's model somewhere down the line.

I meant that he's not some young catcher that just needs years of experience. Of course he can improve. I'm saying that Hundley can improve back to his 2009-2011 level, and a change of scenery would help.

29 years old is not 33 or 34 years old, so it's not like he's done.
