Definitely keep, he's solid rotation depth for anyone that goes down.

3.66 FIP and 4.21 xFIP which is very solid for a back-end starter.

Keep, but solely as depth. If he were to make the team out of ST, I want him to start out as the long man in the bullpen, but I would like to replace him in that roll with a guy like Pelfrey.

Keep but i don't advocate him being anything but a spot starter or long man.

Obviously, they have much better options than him, but they're in the starting rotation, deservingly, lol. In the position he's in right now, I'd say Pelfrey and maybe even Gee (he probably would be in the rotation). Collin McHugh is also competition, but I'd take Hefner over him.

Dump means get rid of him. Not send him down.

By keep, I am not saying he should be on the team, but in AAA.

Past the starting five of Dickey, Johan, Niese, Harvey, Gee, and Wheeler, there are no options better than Hefner. Pelf could be better but he might not be retained.

On a team needing young arms I'll take him, but he's nothing special at this point in time.

However, he had some good moments, despite the bad ones, I'd keep him for depth that we are sorely lacking.

My Vote For 2014 Mets Starting SS.

If he lets the Met players have access to the Playboy Mansion on their day offs then they should keep him. Better yet, dump Mr. Met,( it is time), and have the Playmate Of The Year as the new Met mascot !!

I agree 100%. He's depth and a we know that if someone goes down, we have a pither with some experience to back him up.
