We always end up losing to a few scrub teams throughout the year. If we can make sure that doesn't happen this season, we have a shot at challenging Miami for the 1 seed.

Heat, THunder and Lakers are all far and away better teams on paper heading into the season, things can change with injuries and how the season plays out though.

I do like things Ainge did in the off season and I am excited heading into the season but to say "nobody" is over the top optimistic.

The strength of the Celtics... on paper at least... is the depth of their roster. Other teams might have better top talent but I will take the Celtics roster 1 - 11 over any other. That and team play.
    Lee / Terry
    Bradley /Crawford / Williams
    Pierce / Green
    Bass / Wilcox / White
    KG / Randolph / Melo

    Injured: Rondo, Sullinger

    Draft wish list: Gorgui Dieng

My hope for this year's team is that they can put the game away BEFORE the last 5 minutes

I'm tired of blown leads and dramatic second half rallies

    Plenty of teams.

Most notably the Heat, Lakers, Thunder, healthy Bulls, maybe the Pacers as well.

Lets pump the breaks and see how they perform against NBA teams before we start the "OMGZ NO ONE CAN BEAT UZ" crap.

    Celtics.....

This is one of the Best Celtic Teams I have seen in some time....

Thunder may have a better team...Miami definite have a better team
than the Celtics,,,,Pacers have a better team.....

I will take the Celtics over the lakers,,,Kobe is not the old Kobe,,
and Howard is damaged goods,,,,Nash is old...
Rondo will play Nash like a fiddle....

I think the Celtics have the 2nd best team in the East...
It will be between them and the Pacers,,,,,for 2nd best...
    Followed by the Nets...
Knicks geriatric team.....cannot stay with the Celtics over 48 minutes...

    Stephen Green

If Stephen Green is his old self....I will take the Celtics
    over the Thunder and Lakers.....

Celtics are a deep team....Fab Melo also needs to be seen..
he can be a big contributor
Jason Terry and Stephen Green,,,,are going to make Paul Pierce
a much better player.......they will take the pressure off ,,
and with Rondos passing....thats a lot of fire power...
Sullinger was a huge acquisition......as he is an elite player.

The Knicks, Nets, and Nuggets don't concern me, and the Sixers and Pacers do, but are far from daunting.

I wouldn't count on Melo for much.
