Just cut him. Prove to the fanbase that the front office won't tolerate horrible play, and a .165 average is beyond horrible play. He's been one of the biggest disappointments in Mets history.

I think this will be his last season. Whether he finishes it or not is the real quesiton.

I wonder how many votes for "keep" he gets.

while his value is down, the Mets should negotiate an extension because once he's got 25 HRs by the All Star Break, we won't be getting a discount anymore...

Put him out of his misery. It's got to be uncomfortable for the other guys in the dugout. Like he has some terminal disease they don't want to catch.

I was swayed by Sick's comment so I had no choice but to vote to keep.

So why do we even have to vote on this one. Make him an umpire, obviously he can not see anymore.

The five so far that voted to keep, you are right there with the Wilpons' thinking on the matter. I don't care to bring back a .165 hitter who is in regressing mode. Can we just all admit this turkey is done and stop hoping for a miracle? The guy has sucked for three seasons and has gotten worse in each one. Some might say there is only one way to go when you've hit rockbottom but in Bay's case he still hasn't hit it yet.

Easy for everyone to just say eat $19 million dollars. It is not your money so why do you care .

I guess you are the same guys if you were a Yankee fan would say dump A-Rod and eat his $100 + million salary.

Technically, it is our money. Dumping him would show the fanbase that the front office cares about winning more than it does about the business part of it.

How is it your money? Are you paying the Citifield bond holders ? Unless you know something that I don't, did you write the $25 million check to pay back MLB ?

I don't know how old you are but never forget this....baseball is a business, always will be !!!
