WHEW!!! The proposed trade by someone early in the offseason (Geronimo possibly but I don't feel like looking) for Johan Santana would have been a disaster as he re-tore his shoulder capsule and will likely miss the entire season once again...career potentially over as the last time that he suffered this injury it took 19 months to return to a MLB mound.

I was all for this type of deal (with the Mets paying a LARGE portion of the guaranteed money left on the contract)...but BOY am I glad that it didn't happen!

Well he might not have tore it with us. Teams run different programs and everything, who knows. Prob would've happened sooner or later though.
